As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, we are consciously shifting away from PVC labels on our tinned products. This change is one of many steps to reduce our carbon footprint and make our packaging more environmentally friendly.

Why Are We Moving Away from PVC Labels?

PVC (polyvinyl chloride) is a plastic commonly used in packaging with significant environmental drawbacks. Its production and disposal contribute to pollution and can have long-lasting effects on ecosystems. By removing PVC labels from our packaging, we are reducing our reliance on non-recyclable materials and making a more sustainable choice.

The Transition to Laser-Engraved Labels

We are introducing laser-engraved designs to replace PVC labels on our tinned products. These will be processed in-house, allowing us to control quality while significantly reducing waste. While the initial transition means our labels will be single-coloured, we are exploring options to introduce more colour through sustainable outsourcing in the future. We will slowly roll this out over the next few months while we make our way through the current stock of labels. We hope this is a welcome change for our customers.
